This year, there’s something new!
The return of spring goes hand in hand with the opening of Forges of Pyrene. In previous years, it was the egg hunt in the forgotten village which marked the start of the season.
This year, there’s something new! In collaboration with the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Ariège, the Forges de Pyrène welcomed no less than 30 craftsmen as part of the “ F(ai)tes of artistic crafts ».
Easter celebration 🐣
To celebrate the reopening of the site after the winter break, Les Forges de Pyrène invites you to come and celebrate Easter with your family in a delicious atmosphere! Every year, the white rabbit comes to the park and prepares the traditional egg hunt for you. And of course, the workshops come back to life on this opening day: discover all the secrets of life in 1900 to perfect your day!

The Threshing Festival 🌾
The Festival of Threshing at the Forges de Pyrène is an experience that you must experience if you are around mid-August!

Threshing, in the agricultural world, consists of separating the different parts of the wheat to have only the cereal seeds at the end of the process. To do this, many techniques have emerged over previous centuries. During the Threshing Festival, you are invited to discover those used by our grandparents and great-grandparents last century.
On the program for this day: old-fashioned wheat threshing demonstrations, carriage rides, activities and games will punctuate this day full of emotions.
A country meal is also offered in the evening to end this day in style!
The Autumn Festival 🍂
If you like autumnal and friendly atmospheres, the Autumn Festival is made for you!
In addition to traditional entertainment, find a whole program to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of a beautiful autumn day at the beginning of the 20th century! Apples cooked over a wood fire in the bread oven and apple juice pressed on site, wool spinning demonstrations and workshops, music, hot chestnuts... All in a festive atmosphere to enjoy a great day with the family!
