It all starts with a beer, “a blonde please?” ".

At 6 rue du Rival, in this place full of history which has long housed several generations of artisans, Yannick and Nicolas have brought back the concept of “ BrewPub » in the city center of Foix, and guess what? The reputation of the Brasserie de la Fourche is already well established. Since its opening in April 2022, it has become THE meeting place essential for Fuxéen(ne)s and all the epicureans who visit Ariège.

An essential artisanal address in Foix

In friendly atmosphere with an industrial soul, the Brasserie de la Fourche welcomes you all week (except Sundays). In summer on the terrace, or in winter along a glass roof cradled in light overlooking the Ariège, let yourself be carried away by all the artisanal and traditional flavors that Yannick and Nicolas' “BrewPub” offers.

What does “BrewPub” mean?

Literally translate: a bar where beer is brewed on site (from the English to brew).
At the Brasserie de la Fourche, triple, IPA, stout and even ginger beer are both served and produced on site for a unique experience, 100% short circuit and 100% local. “No traffic jams, no transport” explains Yannick, for whom consuming and eco-responsibility are certainly one and the same.

In addition to its undeniable artisanal qualities, the Fourche brewery sometimes looks like a laboratory where visitors become, for their greatest pleasure, the guinea pigs of our two beer-loving friends. The advantage of brewing your own beer is that you can innovate, imagine and create your own tastes. Like adding fruit during the fermentation stage for example… who knows, the Brasserie de la Fourche could well surprise you during your visit to Foix!

“Better eating” and “better drinking” made in Ariège

A mix of pub, beer bar, micro-brewery and restaurant, at the Brasserie de la Fourche, “eat better” and “drink better” are one and the same to engrave in your hearts, but especially in your pallets, the indelible memory of a good time. In Yannick and Nicolas’ BrewPub, we think, we live, and we consume made in Ariège. Cherry on the cake ? The flavors and know-how of Ariège are succulently exquisite (I checked).

Continuing the short circuit involved in the BrewPub concept, the brewery's cuisine is also more reasoned and more respectful of the environment. A la carte, every lunchtime, traditional, creative and cooked recipes based on local, fresh and seasonal products. There is something for all tastes and appetites.

A second life for malt!

A cereal that gives beer its sugar, its aroma and its color, malt here has a completely different destiny than ending up in the trash. A portion of the cereals is, in fact, collected by a farmer to feed his livestock. As for the rest of the brewing residue, the Mazas pastry shop uses them to make bread and small cakes from the Fourche brewery, good idea right?

When evening comes, the natural light of the old locksmith's shop disappears and gives way to a more lively atmosphere.

As a couple, with friends or family, we get together around a beer or an organic ginger beer brewed before our eyes, tapas of Ariège cheeses and charcuterie and a little music live.

Twice a month, the Brasserie de la Fourche offers concert evenings, and regularly, quizzes, darts, reading and board games, participating as soon as possible in the cultural entertainment of the town of Foix.
