Foix Castle
We need no introduction, the impressive Château de Foix overlooking the city is a must-visit before your departure. From here you can very easily join the greenway via the station. You will appreciate the beautiful view it offers over the town of Foix, its ramparts, its museum and the workshops which will take you directly into the Middle Ages.

The Vernajoul Viaduct
From its height of 406 meters, the viaduct is impressive! It offers a magnificent green view of its surroundings, special mention at sunset which gives the viaduct a special atmosphere.

The underground river of Labouiche
The longest navigable river in Europe will not leave you indifferent! At a depth of 60 meters, climb into a boat and the guide will show you over 1500 meters the geological features of this incredible place.

Combelongue Abbey
This Abbey of Romanesque architecture is sumptuous! It is also classified as a historic monument. The Abbey is even better known for its gardens classified as “remarkable gardens”: French garden, medieval garden, green theater, orchard… there are many different landscape treatments which enhance the exterior of the place.
From Foix to Prat Bonrepaux
It is possible to continue the greenway of St. Lizier à Prat Bonrepaux. To reach Saint-Lizier from Saint Girons, you will have to go through part of a shared road before joining a greenway again. Do not miss on this route the Palace of Bishops and Land of traces !
