The Condorcet Circle aims to organize debates so that everyone can enrich themselves and develop their critical thinking.
Thus, each citizen can better participate in public debates for a strengthened democracy.
DEBATES OF IDEAS
In October 1986, faced with rising social problems and a certain resignation, the Education League created reflection circles called “Condorcet Circles”. The members are diverse in their social origins, their political, union, religious or philosophical commitments. Everyone can participate in meetings as a free individual.
Approach: Everyone can participate in the various debates which take place throughout the year, once a month, in three formats:
Cycle of conferences: On the theme THE WORDS OF THOUGHT (continuity over several months, but which can be dissociated).
Socio-philosophical meetings: themes which induce philosophical reflections, the implementation of which almost always indirectly affects the political organization of our society.
Philosophy cafés: themes of philosophical reflections.
