Can't miss this mountain that looks like Mount Fuji when its slopes are covered with a large white blanket. Mont Fourcat, located in the heart of Ariège, in Occitania, peaks at 2 meters above sea level and offers spectacular panoramas of the Pyrenees mountain range and the surrounding valleys. To reach the summit, you will have to hang on and prepare your legs for this climb, but believe us, you will not be disappointed.

Location

Mont Fourcat finds its place between 3 Ariège territories : Cathar Pyrenees, Ariège Pyrenees et Foix Ariège Pyrenees. It is the first visible summit on the Toulouse / Andorra axis and presents itself as a real gateway to the Pyrenees mountain range.

Located only 30 minutes from Foix by car (hiking departures), Fourcat offers the possibility of accessing breathtaking landscapes without losing too much time on the journey, from Toulouse for example.

Access to Mont Fourcat

In contrary to the peaks of Prat d'Albis, Mont Fourcat is not directly accessible by car. Reaching its zenith is both a sporting and contemplative adventure.
